व्यास उवाच । भगवन्किं प्रभावोऽसौ योऽयं विष्णुहरिस्त्वया । कीर्तितो मुनिशार्दूल प्रसिद्धिं गतवान्कथम् । एतत्सर्वं समाचक्ष्व विस्तरेण ममाग्रतः
vyāsa uvāca | bhagavankiṃ prabhāvo'sau yo'yaṃ viṣṇuharistvayā | kīrtito muniśārdūla prasiddhiṃ gatavānkatham | etatsarvaṃ samācakṣva vistareṇa mamāgrataḥ
व्यास म्हणाले—हे भगवन्! तुम्ही वर्णिलेला हा ‘विष्णु-हरि’ कोणत्या प्रभावाचा आहे, हे मुनिशार्दूला? तो कसा प्रसिद्धीस गेला? हे सर्व माझ्यासमोर विस्ताराने सांगा.
