अगस्त्य उवाच । विष्णुशर्मेति विख्यातः पुराभूद्ब्राह्मणोत्तमः । वेदवेदांगतत्त्वज्ञो धर्मकर्मसमाश्रितः
agastya uvāca | viṣṇuśarmeti vikhyātaḥ purābhūdbrāhmaṇottamaḥ | vedavedāṃgatattvajño dharmakarmasamāśritaḥ
अगस्त्य म्हणाले—पूर्वी ‘विष्णुशर्मा’ या नावाने विख्यात असा एक श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण होता. तो वेद व वेदांगांचे तत्त्व जाणणारा आणि धर्मकर्मात दृढनिष्ठ होता.
