यस्मात्कालीत्यहं प्रोक्ता त्वया शंभोऽतिविप्लवात् । तस्माद्यास्यामि गौरीति भविष्यामि च यत्र हि
yasmātkālītyahaṃ proktā tvayā śaṃbho'tiviplavāt | tasmādyāsyāmi gaurīti bhaviṣyāmi ca yatra hi
हे शंभो! अत्यंत अनुचित प्रसंगी तू मला ‘काली’ असे म्हणालास; म्हणून मी निघून जाईन आणि ‘गौरी’ या नावाने प्रसिद्ध होईन—ज्या स्थानी मी उभी राहीन, त्याच ठिकाणी।
