पिता तस्य पुरा विप्रा जमदग्निर्निपातितः । क्षत्रियेण स्वधर्मस्थो विना दोषं द्विजोत्तमाः
pitā tasya purā viprā jamadagnirnipātitaḥ | kṣatriyeṇa svadharmastho vinā doṣaṃ dvijottamāḥ
पूर्वी, हे विप्रांनो, त्याचा पिता जमदग्नी एका क्षत्रियाने मारला; तो श्रेष्ठ द्विज स्वधर्मात स्थित व निर्दोष होता।
