। ऋषय ऊचुः । चतुर्युगस्वरूपं तु माहात्म्यं चैव सूतज । प्रमाणं वद कार्त्स्न्येन परं कौतूहलं हि नः
| ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | caturyugasvarūpaṃ tu māhātmyaṃ caiva sūtaja | pramāṇaṃ vada kārtsnyena paraṃ kautūhalaṃ hi naḥ
ऋषी म्हणाले—हे सूतपुत्रा! चार युगांचे स्वरूप व त्यांचे माहात्म्य यथार्थ सांग. त्यांचे प्रमाणही पूर्णपणे निवेदन कर; आमची जिज्ञासा अत्यंत तीव्र आहे.
