tasmāttasya vadhopāyaṃ kathayāmi mahātmanaḥ | pārvatyāṃ yo maheśānātsūnurutpatsyate hi saḥ
Brahmā
Scene: Brahmā reveals the destined solution: a radiant child-to-be, born of Pārvatī and Maheśāna, will slay Tāraka; the devas’ fear turns into awe and hope.
Dharma is restored through divine manifestation; when disorder peaks, grace arises through Śiva’s will and the power of the Divine Mother.
The verse functions within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra-māhātmya narrative arc, where the sacred place is framed as a theater for Śiva-centered deliverance.
None explicitly; it foretells a salvific birth rather than prescribing a vrata or rite.
