khātaṃkhātaṃ ca daṃḍāgrairbhūmiṃ kaṃdādivṛttayaḥ | cakruḥ puṣkariṇīṃ ramyāṃ daṃḍakhātābhidhāṃ mune

Translation

दंडांच्या टोकांनी वारंवार भूमी खोदून, कंदमूळादीवर निर्वाह करणाऱ्या त्या तपस्वींनी, हे मुने, एक रम्य पुष्करिणी निर्माण केली; ती ‘दंडखाता’ या नावाने प्रसिद्ध झाली।
