काश्यप उवाच । रामनाथ तव पादसेविनां किं व्रतैरुत तपोभिरध्वरैः । वेदशास्त्र जपचिन्तया च किं स्वर्गसिन्धुपयसापि किं फलम्
kāśyapa uvāca | rāmanātha tava pādasevināṃ kiṃ vratairuta tapobhiradhvaraiḥ | vedaśāstra japacintayā ca kiṃ svargasindhupayasāpi kiṃ phalam
काश्यप म्हणाला—हे रामनाथ! जे तुझ्या चरणांची सेवा करतात, त्यांना व्रत, तप व यज्ञ यांची काय गरज? वेद-शास्त्रांचे अध्ययन, जप व ध्यान-चिंतन यांचेही काय प्रयोजन? स्वर्गसिंधूच्या जलानेही त्यांना आणखी कोणते फळ मिळणार?
