आत्मानं कन्यया दत्तं पूर्वजन्म व्यचिन्तयन् । सा च तं प्रौढमालोक्य पितुराज्ञामवाप्य च । स्वयंवरे स्वभर्तारं लेभे साध्वी नृपात्मजम्
ātmānaṃ kanyayā dattaṃ pūrvajanma vyacintayan | sā ca taṃ prauḍhamālokya piturājñāmavāpya ca | svayaṃvare svabhartāraṃ lebhe sādhvī nṛpātmajam
पूर्वजन्म आठवून तो विचार करू लागला की त्या कन्येने मला कसे ‘दान’ केले होते. आणि ती साध्वी कन्या त्याला आता प्रौढ पाहून, पित्याची आज्ञा मिळवून, स्वयंवरात त्या राजपुत्रालाच पती म्हणून वरण करते.
