त्रेतायुगे महाभाग रावणो देवकण्टकः । त्रैलोक्यविजयी रौद्रः सुरासुरभयंकरः
tretāyuge mahābhāga rāvaṇo devakaṇṭakaḥ | trailokyavijayī raudraḥ surāsurabhayaṃkaraḥ
हे महाभाग! त्रेतायुगात रावण हा देवांचा कण्टक होता—रौद्र स्वभावाचा, त्रैलोक्यविजयी आणि देव-असुर दोघांनाही भय उत्पन्न करणारा।
