śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | padmā padmāsanasthenādhiṣṭhitā padmayoginī | sāvitratejaḥsadṛśī sāvitrī tena cocyate
श्री मार्कण्डेय म्हणाले—ती पद्मा आहे; पद्मासनस्थ प्रभूने अधिष्ठित केलेली पद्मयोगिनी-शक्तिरूपा। सवितृदेवाच्या तेजासारखी असल्याने तिला ‘सावित्री’ म्हणतात।
