FAQs

It teaches that Shaiva worship is both inner (dhyāna of the āvaraṇa) and outer (samarcana), integrating contemplation with ordered ritual so the mind becomes fit to approach Pati (Śiva) beyond the bonds (pāśa).

The āvaraṇa-pūjā is a Saguna method: deities like Sūrya and Brahmā are honored in prescribed directions as attendants within Śiva’s sacred field, culminating in steadiness of devotion toward the Liṅga as the central focus.

Meditate on the fourth enclosure of the maṇḍala, then perform external worship by offering to the directional/petal deities—specifically honoring Bhānu in the east and Caturānana in the south—typically alongside mantra-japa (e.g., the Pañcākṣarī) in a structured pūjā sequence.
