yadalaṃghyamaśeṣasya sthāvarasya carasya ca | niyogarūpamīśasya balaṃ viśvaniyāmakam
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ishana
It affirms Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose inviolable ordinance governs all beings—showing that liberation begins with aligning one’s will with His cosmic order rather than opposing it.
In Linga worship, the devotee approaches Shiva as the visible sign of the invisible regulator; honoring the Linga is honoring the Lord’s all-pervading niyoga that sustains and disciplines the world.
Practice daily japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the bhāva of surrender to Shiva’s ordinance, and conclude with a brief inward resolve to follow dharma as His command.
