तयोर्वधाय देवेशं ब्रह्माभ्यर्थितवान्पुनः । विनिंद्यापि रहस्यं वां क्रोधयित्वा यथा तथा

त्या दोघांच्या वधासाठी ब्रह्मांनी पुन्हा देवेश्वर शिवांना विनंती केली. मग तुमच्या रहस्याची निंदा करून—ज्या काही प्रकारे—त्याने तुम्हा दोघांत क्रोध उत्पन्न केला।
