ā́ pavasva sahasríṇaṃ rayíṃ gó-mantam aśvínam | puru-candráṃ puru-spṛ́ham ||

हे पवमान सोम! सहस्रगुण समृद्ध असा रयि—गो-समृद्ध व अश्व-समृद्ध—आमच्याकडे प्रवाहित हो; जो बहुचंद्र (बहु-प्रकाशमान) आणि बहुस्पृह्य (अनेकांना अभिलषित) असा असो.
