Sukta 5.87
ते रुद्रासः सुमखा अग्नयो यथा तुविद्युम्ना अवन्त्वेवयामरुत् । दीर्घं पृथु पप्रथे सद्म पार्थिवं येषामज्मेष्वा महः शर्धांस्यद्भुतैनसाम् ॥
te rudrā́saḥ su-mákhā agnáyo yáthā tuvi-dyumnā́ avantv evayā́marut | dī́rghaṃ pṛthú paprathé sádma pārthívam yeṣā́m ájmeṣv ā́ maháḥ śárdhāṃsy ádbhuta-enasām ||
हे मरुतांनो, ते सुमख (सुयज्ञ) रुद्र—अग्नींसारखे, तुविद्युम्न (अपर तेज) असलेले—आमचे रक्षण करो. त्यांनी पसरविलेले पार्थिव सद्म (भूवरील निवास) दीर्घ व विस्तीर्ण आहे; ज्यांच्या मोहिमांत अद्भुत-शक्तीचे, दोषारोपणास अछूते, महान् शर्ध (गण/सेना) संचार करतात.
