Sukta 2.28
नमः पुरा ते वरुणोत नूनमुतापरं तुविजात ब्रवाम । त्वे हि कं पर्वते न श्रितान्यप्रच्युतानि दूळभ व्रतानि ॥
námaḥ purā́ te varuṇóta nū́nám utā́paraṃ tuvi-jāta bravāma | tvé hí kaṃ párvate ná śritā́ny ápra-cyutāni dūḷábha vratā́ni ||
हे वरुणा! प्राचीन काळापासून, आत्ताही, आणि पुढेही—हे तुविजात (महाजन्मा)—मी तुला नमस्कार करतो. कारण पर्वतावर जसे अचल आधार स्थिर असतात, तसेच तुझ्यामध्ये, हे दूळभ (दुर्लंघ्य), अच्युत व दृढ व्रत (ऋत-नियम) प्रतिष्ठित आहेत.
