उरुं हि राजा वरुणश्चकार सूर्याय पन्थामन्वेतवा उ । अपदे पादा प्रतिधातवेऽकरुतापवक्ता हृदयाविधश्चित् ॥

Transliteration

urúṃ hí rājā́ váruṇaś cakā́ra sū́ryāya pánthām ánv etávā u | apáde pā́dā práti-dhātave ’karutā́pavaktā́ hṛdayā́vidhaś cit ||

Translation

राजा वरुणाने सूर्याला त्याच्या क्रमाने अन्वेतवा (अनुसरत) चालता यावे म्हणून उरु (विस्तीर्ण) पन्था (मार्ग) केला. जिथे पाऊल ठेवण्यास जागा नाही तिथेही त्याने पादा (पायांचे आधार) दृढ केले; आणि हृदयाविध (हृदय भेदणाऱ्या) शक्तींनाही तो अपवक्ता (परत वळविणारा) आहे.
