कुमारसम्भवः—गङ्गायां तेजोनिक्षेपः

The Birth of Kumāra/Skanda and the Deposition of Śiva’s Energy through Gaṅgā

ज्येष्ठा शैलेन्द्रदुहिता मानयिष्यति तत्सुतम्।उमायास्तद्बहुमतं भविष्यति न संशय:।।1.37.8।।

jyeṣṭhā śailendra-duhitā mānayiṣyati tat-sutam | umāyās tad bahu-mataṃ bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ || 1.37.8 ||

शैलेन्द्राची ज्येष्ठ कन्या गंगा त्या पुत्राचा मान राखून त्याचे पालनपोषण करील; आणि ही व्यवस्था उमेलाही अत्यंत मान्य होईल—यात संशय नाही.
