कुमारसम्भवः—गङ्गायां तेजोनिक्षेपः

The Birth of Kumāra/Skanda and the Deposition of Śiva’s Energy through Gaṅgā

जातरूपमिति ख्यातं तदा प्रभृति राघव।सुवर्णं पुरुषव्याघ्र हुताशनसमप्रभम्।।1.37.22।।तृणवृक्षलतागुल्मं सर्वं भवति काञ्चनम्।

jātarūpam iti khyātaṃ tadā prabhṛti rāghava | suvarṇaṃ puruṣavyāghra hutāśana-samaprabham || 1.37.22 ||

tṛṇa-vṛkṣa-latā-gulmaṃ sarvaṃ bhavati kāñcanam |

त्या वेळेपासून, हे राघव—हे पुरुषव्याघ्र—अग्निसमान तेजस्वी सुवर्ण ‘जातरूप’ या नावाने प्रसिद्ध झाले. तेथे तृण, वृक्ष, लता व झुडपे—सर्व काञ्चनमय दिसू लागले.
