शब्दवेध्य-अनर्थः, ऋषिशापः, दशरथस्य प्राणत्यागः

आबभाषे च वृद्धौ तौ सह शक्रेण तापसः।आश्वास्यच मुहूर्तं तु पितरौ वाक्यमब्रवीत्।।।।
ābabhāṣe ca vṛddhau tau saha śakreṇa tāpasaḥ | āśvāsya ca muhūrtaṃ tu pitarau vākyam abravīt ||
शक्र (इंद्र) याच्यासह त्या तपस्व्याने त्या दोघा वृद्ध माता-पित्यांशी संवाद केला. क्षणभर त्यांना धीर देऊन मग तो वचन बोलला.
