Dharmopadeśa-Śānti: Rules of Impurity, Expiations, and Ancestor Rites

श्मशाने शौचशेषे च न ग्राह्याः सत्प मृत्तिकाः । इष्टापूर्तं तु कर्त्तव्यं ब्राह्मणेन प्रयत्नतः ॥ ६४ ॥

śmaśāne śaucaśeṣe ca na grāhyāḥ satpa mṛttikāḥ | iṣṭāpūrtaṃ tu karttavyaṃ brāhmaṇena prayatnataḥ || 64 ||

श्मशानात आणि शौचानंतर अशौच शिल्लक असताना शुद्ध उपयोगाची पवित्र माती घेऊ नये. परंतु ब्राह्मणाने प्रयत्नपूर्वक इष्ट व पूर्त—यज्ञकर्म आणि लोकहितार्थ दान—अवश्य करावे.
