Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
पुमान् स्री च क्लीबश्चरस्थिरद्विःस्वभावकाः । मेषाद्याः पूर्वतोदिक्स्थाः स्वस्वस्थानचरास्तथा ॥ ७ ॥
pumān srī ca klībaścarasthiradviḥsvabhāvakāḥ | meṣādyāḥ pūrvatodiksthāḥ svasvasthānacarāstathā || 7 ||
मेषादि राशी पुरुष, स्त्री व नपुंसक अशा त्रिविध सांगितल्या आहेत; तसेच चर, स्थिर व द्विस्वभावही आहेत. त्या पूर्व दिशेपासून क्रमाने स्थित असून आपल्या-आपल्या स्थानातच विचरतात.
