द्विगुणेष्टहृतं रूपं श्रेष्टं प्राग्रूपकं परम् । वर्गयोगांतरे व्येके राश्योर्वर्गोस्त एतयोः ॥ ३३ ॥

Transliteration

dviguṇeṣṭahṛtaṃ rūpaṃ śreṣṭaṃ prāgrūpakaṃ param | vargayogāṃtare vyeke rāśyorvargosta etayoḥ || 33 ||

Translation

इष्ट राशीने भागून जे रूप द्विगुण केले जाते, तेच श्रेष्ठ व परम ‘प्राग्रूपक’ (पूर्वरूप) मानले आहे. वर्ग-योग पद्धतीत काहीजण म्हणतात की या दोन्ही राशींचा वर्गफल संयुक्त मानावा।
