“अमा-” आदि श्रेणी शाब्दिकांनी सांगितली आहे—संख्येने बत्तीस. ध्वनिशास्त्रातील पारिभाषिक संज्ञांनी ती निरूपित; तिचे परिमाण बहात्तर, ‘म’ ने आरंभ, आणि उदात्त (उच्च स्वर) बंधनाशी संबंधित आहे॥२४॥
