sanaṃdana uvāca | evaṃ pṛṣṭastadānena sa bhṛgarbrahmaṇaḥ sutaḥ | punarāhu muniśreṣṭa tatsaṃdehanivṛttaye || 17 ||
Sanandana
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It highlights saṃdeha-nivṛtti—removal of doubt—as a key step in Moksha-dharma, showing that clear answers from realized sages are essential for steady understanding and practice.
Though not naming Bhakti directly, it frames the needed foundation for devotion: doubts must be resolved through authentic teaching, so the mind can become single-pointed in faith and practice.
The verse emphasizes the method of śāstric clarification—precise questioning and authoritative response—supporting disciplines like Vyākaraṇa and Nirukta in ensuring correct understanding of terms and meanings.
