nāmnāṃ śatamidaṃ vipra pinākiguṇakīrtanam | paṭhitvā dakṣiṇīkṛtya prāyānnijaniketanam || 67 ||
Suta (narrator) summarizing the outcome of the recitation within the dialogue tradition
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta (peace)
Secondary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
It emphasizes that sacred recitation (nāma-stuti) is traditionally completed with dakṣiṇā, marking the rite as fulfilled and fruitful, after which the performer proceeds onward in peace.
Bhakti is shown as kīrtana—praising the Lord’s qualities through names—performed with reverence and followed by a respectful offering, integrating devotion with dharmic conduct.
It reflects kalpa/ritual procedure: after mantra or stotra recitation, dakṣiṇā is given as a prescribed completion act (saṁsthāpanā) to honor the rite and its officiants.
