ब्रह्मोवाच । श्रृणु पुत्र प्रवक्ष्यामि पुराणं लिंगसंज्ञितम् । पठतां श्रृण्वतां चैव भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदायकम् ॥ १ ॥
brahmovāca | śrṛṇu putra pravakṣyāmi purāṇaṃ liṃgasaṃjñitam | paṭhatāṃ śrṛṇvatāṃ caiva bhuktimuktipradāyakam || 1 ||
ब्रह्मा म्हणाले—हे पुत्रा, ऐक; मी आता ‘लिंग’ संज्ञक पुराण सांगतो. जे वाचतात व जे श्रवण करतात, त्यांना ते भोग आणि मोक्ष दोन्ही देणारे आहे ॥१॥
