अथ तां दृष्ट्वा कन्यां तु ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेश्वराः । ऊचुः का असि शुभे ब्रूहि किं वा कार्यं विपश्चितम् ॥
atha tāṁ dṛṣṭvā kanyāṁ tu brahmaviṣṇumaheśvarāḥ | ūcuḥ kā asi śubhe brūhi kiṁ vā kāryaṁ vipaścitām ||
അപ്പോൾ ആ കന്യയെ കണ്ടിട്ട് ബ്രഹ്മാവും വിഷ്ണുവും മഹേശ്വരനും പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ ശുഭേ! നീ ആരാണ്? പറയുക; നിന്റെ വിവേകപൂർണ്ണമായ കാര്യം എന്താണ്?”
