सार्वभौमः पुरा राजा अनरण्यो महाबलः । तेनायमर्चितो देवो व्रतेनानेन पार्थिव । तस्य तुष्टो वरं देवः प्रादादारोग्यमुत्तमम् ॥ ६२.६ ॥

sārvabhaumaḥ purā rājā anaraṇyo mahābalaḥ | tenāyam arcito devo vratenānena pārthiva | tasya tuṣṭo varaṃ devaḥ prādād ārogyam uttamam || 62.6 ||

പുരാതനകാലത്ത് അനരണ്യൻ എന്ന മഹാബലവാനായ സർവ്വഭൗമ രാജാവുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഓ രാജാവേ, ഈ വ്രതംകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ അവൻ ഈ ദേവനെ പൂജിച്ചു; ദേവൻ പ്രസന്നനായി അവന് ഉത്തമാരോഗ്യത്തിന്റെ വരം നൽകി.
