अथ राक्षसकीङ्करयुद्धम् ॥ ऋषिपुत्र उवाच ॥ ततस्ते सहिताः सर्वे चान्योऽन्याभिरताः सदा ॥ नानावेषधरा दूताः कृताञ्जलिपुटास्तदा ॥

atha rākṣasa-kīṅkara-yuddham || ṛṣi-putra uvāca || tatas te sahitāḥ sarve cānyo 'nyābhiratāḥ sadā || nānā-veṣa-dharā dūtāḥ kṛtāñjali-puṭās tadā ||

ഇപ്പോൾ രാക്ഷസരുടെ കിങ്കരന്മാരുമായുള്ള യുദ്ധം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ഋഷിപുത്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ആ ദൂതന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടി, എപ്പോഴും പരസ്പരം ഏകോപിതരായി, നാനാവേഷങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചു, ആ സമയത്ത് കൈകൂപ്പി ഭക്തിയോടെ നിന്നു।
