विधिना मन्त्रपूर्वेण श्राद्धं कुर्वन्ति ये नराः ॥ तेषां वरं प्रयच्छन्ति पितरः श्राद्धतर्पिताः
vidhinā mantrapūrveṇa śrāddhaṁ kurvanti ye narāḥ || teṣāṁ varaṁ prayacchanti pitaraḥ śrāddhatarpitāḥ
വിധിപ്രകാരം മന്ത്രപൂർവകമായി ശ്രാദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക്, ആ ശ്രാദ്ധത്തിൽ തൃപ്തരായ പിതൃദേവന്മാർ പ്രസന്നരായി വരം നൽകുന്നു।
