अहो मुनिवरश्रेष्ठ अहो धर्मविदां वर ॥ सान्त्वितोऽस्मि त्वया विप्र वचनैर्मधुराक्षरैः

aho munivaraśreṣṭha aho dharmavidāṁ vara || sāntvito 'smi tvayā vipra vacanair madhurākṣaraiḥ

അഹോ! മുനിവരന്മാരിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനേ! അഹോ! ധർമ്മവിദന്മാരിൽ അഗ്രഗണ്യനേ! ഹേ വിപ്രാ, മധുരാക്ഷരങ്ങളുള്ള നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളാൽ ഞാൻ സാന്ത്വനം പ്രാപിച്ചു.
