एकं तु दृश्यते श्वेतमब्जं रुक्ममयं तथा ॥ तत्र ब्रह्मसरस्युच्चैरुत्तरं पार्श्वमाश्रिता ॥

അവിടെ ഒരു വെളുത്ത താമരയും, അതുപോലെ ഒരു സ്വർണമയമായതും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. അവിടെ ഉയർന്ന ബ്രഹ്മ-സരസ്സിൽ അത് ഉത്തര വശത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.
