यस्तु मात्सर्यसंयुक्तो न स पश्यति मां क्वचित् ॥ बहुकर्मसमायुक्ता दानाध्ययननिष्ठिताः ॥

yas tu mātsaryasaṃyukto na sa paśyati māṃ kvacit || bahukarmasamāyuktā dānādhyayananiṣṭhitāḥ ||

എന്നാൽ അസൂയയോടെ ചേർന്നവൻ എനിക്ക് എവിടെയും ദർശനം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല. (അവർ) അനേകം കർമങ്ങളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ട്, ദാനത്തിലും അധ്യയനത്തിലും നിഷ്ഠയുള്ളവരായിരുന്നാലും—
