पायसेन दिनत्रय्यां त्रिदिनं सक्तुना तथा ॥ त्रिदिनं वायुभक्षोऽपि आकाशशयनस्त्रिकम् ॥

മൂന്ന് ദിവസം പായസം (പാൽ-അന്നം/ഖീർ) മാത്രം ആശ്രയിക്കട്ടെ; അതുപോലെ മൂന്ന് ദിവസം സക്തു (യവപ്പൊടി) മാത്രം. മൂന്ന് ദിവസം വായുഭക്ഷനായി (വായുവേ ആശ്രയിച്ച്) ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; മൂന്ന് ദിവസം തുറന്ന ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴിൽ ശയിക്കട്ടെ.
