Expiations for Ritual and Temporal Offences in Worship, and the Prescribed Purificatory Procedure

व्रतं चान्द्रायणं कृत्वा विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा ॥ मुच्यते किल्बिषाद्भूमे एवमेतन्न संशयः ॥

vrataṃ cāndrāyaṇaṃ kṛtvā vidhidṛṣṭena karmaṇā || mucyate kilbiṣādbhūme evametanna saṃśayaḥ ||

വിധിനിർദ്ദേശിച്ച കർമപ്രകാരം ചാന്ദ്രായണ വ്രതം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചാൽ, ഹേ ഭൂമേ, പാപത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചനം ലഭിക്കുന്നു; ഇതിൽ സംശയമില്ല.
