प्रातरुत्थाय यो मर्त्यः कल्पं छेदं समाहितः ॥ जितेन्द्रियः शुचिर्भूत्वा पठेद्भक्त्या समन्वितः ॥

prātar utthāya yo martyaḥ kalpaṃ chedaṃ samāhitaḥ | jitendriyaḥ śucir bhūtvā paṭhed bhaktyā samanvitaḥ ||

ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റ്, സമാഹിതചിത്തനായി, ഇന്ദ്രിയനിയമനത്തോടെ ശുചിയായി, ഭക്തിയോടും ദൃഢസങ്കൽപ്പത്തോടും കൂടി ഇതു പാരായണം ചെയ്യണം.
