nirguṇaḥ sa guṇātīto niḥsneho mūkavatsthitaḥ | sarvajñaḥ sarvagaḥ sarvaḥ paṭhyate bhuvanatraye
Deductive (Vastrāpatha-kṣetra-māhātmya narrative voice praising Śiva)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva as a silent ascetic: minimal ornament, matted hair, calm gaze; a vast cosmic backdrop (three worlds) subtly mapped around him, indicating omnipresence and omniscience.
Śiva is described as transcending the guṇas while still being omniscient and omnipresent—pointing to a reality beyond attachment and speech.
The praise occurs within the Vastrāpatha-kṣetra-māhātmya, linking Śiva’s greatness to the sanctity of Vastrāpatha in Prabhāsa.
No direct rite is prescribed here; the verse functions as a doctrinal eulogy (stuti) of Śiva.
