यः परं श्रूयते ज्योतिर्यः परं श्रूयते तपः । यः परं परतः प्रोक्तः परं यः परमात्मवान्

yaḥ paraṃ śrūyate jyotiryaḥ paraṃ śrūyate tapaḥ | yaḥ paraṃ parataḥ proktaḥ paraṃ yaḥ paramātmavān

‘പരമ ജ്യോതി’യായി ശ്രുതിയിൽ കേൾക്കപ്പെടുന്നവൻ, ‘പരമ തപസ്’ എന്നായും ശ്രവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവൻ. പരാത്പരൻ എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ; പരമാത്മസ്വഭാവസമ്പന്നനായ പരമൻ അവൻ തന്നെ.
