देवमातेति ते नाम कृत्वोचुस्तां तदा सुराः । कृत्वा तु भैरवं कार्यमसाध्यं देवदानवैः
devamāteti te nāma kṛtvocustāṃ tadā surāḥ | kṛtvā tu bhairavaṃ kāryamasādhyaṃ devadānavaiḥ
അപ്പോൾ ദേവന്മാർ അവൾക്ക് ‘ദേവമാതാ’ എന്ന നാമം നല്കി പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തി; കാരണം ദേവ-ദാനവർക്കും അസാധ്യമായ ഭൈരവസദൃശമായ കര്മ്മം അവൾ നിർവഹിച്ചു।
