ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि देवगुप्तेश्वरं प्रिये । तत्र पश्चिमवायव्ये यत्र सोमोऽकरोत्तपः
īśvara uvāca | tato gacchenmahādevi devagupteśvaraṃ priye | tatra paścimavāyavye yatra somo'karottapaḥ
ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—ഹേ മഹാദേവീ, പ്രിയേ, തുടർന്ന് ദേവഗുപ്തേശ്വരത്തിലേക്ക് പോകണം. അവിടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറ്-വായവ്യ ദിക്കിൽ സോമൻ (ചന്ദ്രൻ) തപസ്സു ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലം ഉണ്ട്.
