अत्रांतरे सोऽपि विमृश्य सर्वं कार्यं स्वबुद्ध्या किमिहोपपन्नम् । कृत्वाऽनलस्य ग्रहणं मयेदं कार्यं सुराणां विहितं भवेच्च
atrāṃtare so'pi vimṛśya sarvaṃ kāryaṃ svabuddhyā kimihopapannam | kṛtvā'nalasya grahaṇaṃ mayedaṃ kāryaṃ surāṇāṃ vihitaṃ bhavecca
ഇതിനിടയിൽ അവനും തന്റെ ബുദ്ധിയാൽ എല്ലാം ആലോചിച്ചു—ഇവിടെ ഏത് മാർഗമാണ് യുക്തം? ‘ഞാൻ ഈ അനലത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചാൽ, ദേവന്മാർ നിശ്ചയിച്ച ഈ കാര്യം തീർച്ചയായും എനിക്കാൽ സിദ്ധിക്കും.’
