डिंडिरूप धरो भूत्वा रुद्रः प्राह तपोधनान् । यन्मया भवतां कार्यं कर्तव्यं तदिहोच्यताम्
ḍiṃḍirūpa dharo bhūtvā rudraḥ prāha tapodhanān | yanmayā bhavatāṃ kāryaṃ kartavyaṃ tadihocyatām
‘ഡിണ്ഡി’ രൂപം ധരിച്ചു രുദ്രൻ തപോധന ഋഷിമാരോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം എന്തായാലും, ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് എന്തായാലും, അത് ഇവിടെ പറയുക।”
