ईश्वर उवाच । इत्थं समभवत्तत्र यमुनोद्भेदमुत्तमम् । कुण्डमादित्यतो याम्ये दुंदुभिस्तत्र पूर्वतः

īśvara uvāca | itthaṃ samabhavattatra yamunodbhedamuttamam | kuṇḍamādityato yāmye duṃdubhistatra pūrvataḥ

ഈശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—“ഇങ്ങനെ അവിടെ യമുനയുടെ ഉത്തമ ഉദ്ഭവം സംഭവിച്ചു. ആദിത്യത്തിന്റെ തെക്കായി ഒരു കുണ്ടമുണ്ട്; അതിന്റെ കിഴക്കായി ‘ദുന്ദുഭി’ എന്ന തീർത്ഥമുണ്ട്.”
