Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa māhātmya narration style)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A śrāddha scene at a coastal/riverine tīrtha: a performer with darbha and piṇḍas; one piṇḍa set afloat on rippling water, one offered to the seated wife as ritual partner, and one placed into a small homa fire with ladle and ghee.
Śrāddha integrates multiple sacred channels—water, household order, and fire—so the offering reaches its ordained destination.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where piṇḍadāna and śrāddha methods are preserved as part of the site’s greatness.
Offer three piṇḍas in three ways: float one in water, offer one to the wife, and consign one into the fire as an oblation.
