ശ്രുതകൽപ്പപ്രസംഗത്തിൽ വായു ധർമ്മതത്ത്വങ്ങൾ ഉപദേശിച്ചു. രുദ്രമാഹാത്മ്യവുമായി ചേർന്ന ഈ വിവരണം ഉള്ള ഗ്രന്ഥം ‘വായവീയം’ (പുരാണം) എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധം.
