यतो नागस्वरूपेण स्थानेऽस्मिंश्च समाविशत् । तत्प्रभृत्येव देवेशि नागस्थानमिति श्रुतम्
yato nāgasvarūpeṇa sthāne'smiṃśca samāviśat | tatprabhṛtyeva deveśi nāgasthānamiti śrutam
അവൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിൽ നാഗസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചതിനാൽ, ഹേ ദേവേശീ, അന്നുമുതൽ ഇത് ‘നാഗസ്ഥാനം’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധമായി ശ്രുതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
