darśanāttasya devasya saptajanmāntarodbhavam | pāpaṃ praṇāśamāyāti satyaṃsatyaṃ varānane
Śiva (Īśvara)
Tirtha: Pratyūṣeśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A pilgrim (or a group) stands before the Pratyūṣeśvara liṅga; a subtle visual metaphor shows dark smoke (sins of seven births) dissolving into light as the gaze meets the deity; Śiva affirms ‘satyaṃ satyaṃ’ to Pārvatī.
Darśana of Śiva at a revered tīrtha carries transformative merit, purifying karmic residue accumulated over many lives.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, through the darśana of its deity (Pratyūṣeśvara).
The implied practice is darśana (visiting and beholding the deity); no additional vow, dāna, or snāna is specified in this verse.
