मा मु ह्रदं समागत्य दूतः प्रोक्तो मया यतः । ततो मामुह्रदमिति ख्यातिं यातु धरातले
mā mu hradaṃ samāgatya dūtaḥ prokto mayā yataḥ | tato māmuhradamiti khyātiṃ yātu dharātale
ഈ ഹ്രദത്തിലേക്ക് വന്ന് ഞാൻ ദൂതനോട് ‘മാ മു’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതിനാൽ, ഈ സ്ഥലം ഭൂമിയിൽ ‘മാമുഹ്രദം’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധിയാകട്ടെ.
